    PCF8591 AD/DA chip introduction:

     

    PCF8591 is a single-chip integrated, separately powered, low-power, 8-bit CMOS data acquisition device. PCF8591 has 4 analog inputs, 1 analog output, and 1 serial I2C bus interface. The three address pins A0, A1, and A2 of PCF8591 can be used for hardware address programming, allowing 8 PCF8591 devices to be connected on the same I2C bus without the need for additional hardware. The address, control, and data signals input and output on the PCF8591 device are transmitted in a serial manner through a dual wire bidirectional I2C bus.

     

    Main performance indicators of PCF8591:

     

    ★ Single power supply

    ★ The operating voltage range of PCF8591 is 2.5V-6V

    ★ Low standby current

    ★ Serial input/output through I2C bus

    ★ PCF8591 is addressed through three hardware address pins

    ★ The sampling rate of PCF8591 is determined by the I2C bus rate

    ★ Four analog inputs can be programmed as single ended or differential inputs

    ★ Automatic incremental channel selection

    ★ The analog voltage range of PCF8591 ranges from VSS to VDD

    ★ PCF8591 built-in tracking and holding circuit

    ★ 8-bit successive approximation A/D converter

    ★ Realize DAC gain through 1 analog output

     

    Module Description:

     

    1 module chip adopts PCF8591

    2 modules support external 4 voltage input acquisition (voltage input range 0-5v)

    3-module integrated photosensitive resistor, which can collect accurate values of environmental light intensity through AD

    4-module integrated thermistor, which can collect accurate environmental temperature values through AD

    5-module integrated 1-channel 0-5V voltage input acquisition (input voltage adjusted through blue potentiometer)

    6 modules with power indicator light (the indicator light will light up when the module is powered on)

    7 modules are equipped with DA output indicator lights. When the voltage of the module's DA output interface reaches a certain value, the DA output indicator light on the board will be lit. The higher the voltage, the more obvious the brightness of the indicator light;

    8-module PCB size: 3.6cm * 2.3cm

    9 standard double-sided board with a thickness of 1.6mm, beautiful and generous layout, with through-holes all around, with a diameter of 3mm for easy fixation

     

    Module interface description:

     

    The left and right sides of this module are respectively expanded with 2 pin interfaces, which are explained as follows:

    Left AOUT chip DA output interface

    AINO chip analog input interface 0

    AIN1 chip analog input interface 1

    AIN2 chip analog input interface 2

    AIN3 chip analog input interface 3

    The right SCL IIC clock interface is connected to the microcontroller IO port

    SDA IIC digital interface connected to microcontroller IO port

    GND module ground external grounding

    VCC power interface external connection 3.3v-5v
