VL53L0X expands the ToF ranging length to two meters, within ± 300 degrees. Unlike traditional infrared proximity sensors, VL53L0X outputs ranging results to mm, and the color and reflected light of the target object will not affect the ranging results. The fast response FlightSenseTM technology is famous in the industry because it is used by smart phone camera laser assisted auto focusing, and can distinguish the horizontal or vertical movement of target objects. The sensor completes the ranging calculation internally and outputs data through the I2C bus interface, thus reducing the demand for the main controller of the system.

The internal laser emits 940nm wavelength non visible light, which is harmful to eyes.
