MPR121-Breakout-v12 Proximity Capacitive Touch Sensor
Product Information:
● MPR121 is a capacitive touch sensor controller driven by I2C interface.
● The chip can control up to twelve independent electrodes and a simulated thirteenth electrode.
● MPR121 also has 8 LED drive pins. When these pins are not configured as electrodes,
They may be used to drive LEDs.
● There are four jumpers at the bottom of the circuit board, all of which are set (off) by default.
● The address jumper connects the ADD pin to ground, which means that the default I2C address of the chip is 0x5A.
● If you need to change the chip address (by shorting the ADD to different pins), make sure you open the jumper first. The jumper also connects SDA, SCL and interrupt pins to 10k pull-up resistors.
● If you do not need to pull up the resistance, you can open the jumper by cutting off the trace connecting them.
● There is no regulation on the circuit board, so the power supply voltage should be between 2.5 and 3.6 VDC.
● VREG pin is connected to ground through a 0.1uF capacitor, which means that unless you modify the circuit board, you cannot run MPR121 in low power supply voltage mode (1.71-2.75VDC).
● Size: 30.6mm x 20.6mm.
