    Description:

     

    When the future is bright, this sensor with ultra-high luminosity range will help you measure it. The TSL2591 photometric sensor is a kind of digital light sensor, which is suitable for use in various light conditions. Compared with low-cost cadmium sulfide cells, this sensor is more powerful, allowing lux to be calculated and configured to different gain/timing ranges, so as to reach 88000 lux in the flight distance 188 DULUX optical range.

     

    The good part of the sensor is that it contains both infrared and full spectrum diodes! This means that you can measure infrared, full spectrum or human visible light separately. Most sensors can only be one or another, which does not accurately represent what human eyes see (because we cannot perceive the IR light that is received by most photodiodes). The sensor is very similar to TSL2561, but has a wider range (different from the interface code). The sensor has a huge dynamic range of 600 million: 1! Unlike TSL2561, you cannot change the I2C address, so remember this.

     

    The built-in ADC device can take advantage of this with any microcontroller, even if it does not have analog input. The current consumption is very low, so it is very suitable for low-power data recording system. For active sensing at 0.4 mA, power down mode at less than 5 microamps.
