Compared to the two-in-one product TSL2771X, the big advantage of the three-in-one device TMD2771X is that it integrates an infrared emitter tube inside, without the support of external LEDs. The two in one sensor is not equipped with an LED inside and requires an external LED; This design method has no stringent requirements in the hardware/pcb part, but the power of LEDs is a relatively important issue.
Sensor consistency can be controlled during the TAOS manufacturing process. However, due to the discrete nature of LED semiconductor devices (which is an inherent characteristic), it is necessary to strictly control the power level of LEDs in actual production, which may cause some inconvenience during the production process.
In addition, the three-in-one sensor has integrated the transmitter/receiver and reduced the design, making the design and installation more space free, and the structural requirements will be relatively simple. When designing a two-in-one sensor, it is necessary to focus on the internal diffraction problem after the device is installed in the mechanism.
