    Main Features And Pin Functions:

     

    SN65HVD230 can be used in higher interference environments. The device has good transceiver capabilities at different rates, and its main characteristics are as follows:

     

    ● Fully compatible with ISO11898 standard;

    ● High input impedance, allowing 120 nodes;

    ● Low current wait mode, typical current is 370 μ A;

    ● Signal transmission rate can reach 1Mb/s;

    ● Thermal protection and open circuit failure protection functions;

    ● It has the function of resisting instantaneous interference and protecting the bus;

    ● Slope control to reduce radio frequency interference (RFI);

    ● Differential receiver with wide range of common mode interference and electromagnetic interference (EMI) resistance.

     

    Operating Mode And Control Logic:

     

    The SN65HVD230 has three different operating modes: high speed, slope, and wait. Its operating mode control can be achieved through the Rs control pin. Figure 2 is a typical application diagram of SN65HVD230 in a CAN bus system. As can be seen from the figure, the output pin Tx of the CAN controller is connected to the data input terminal D of the SN65HVD230, which can transmit the data sent by this CAN node to the CAN network; The receiving pin Rx of the CAN controller is connected to the data output terminal R of the SN65HVD230 for receiving data. The SN65HVD230 mode selection port Rs is connected through a jumper and a slope resistor grounded at one end. Three operating modes can be selected through hardware, with a slope resistor of 0 to 100k Ω as a potentiometer.
