PCT2075 Temperature Sensor Module
Product Description:
The PCT2075 temperature sensor is a very common "code compatible" embedded replacement for the I2C temperature sensor LM75. However, compared to LM75, the 11 bit ADC in PCT2075 provides better measurements than the 9 bit ADC in LM75. In addition, since PCT2075 allows address pins to operate in three states (high, low, and floating), there can be 27 PCT2075s on the same bus, while LM75 only has 8. Now, you can finally measure the temperatures of three octopus tentacles, not just one!
Otherwise, both sensors are the same. PCT2075 will report the temperature and allow you to set a high temperature threshold. The sensor will compare with the current temperature and issue an alarm when the current temperature exceeds the threshold. There are also some (metaphorical) knobs that can be used to change alarm and measurement behavior.
Like all Adafruit breakthroughs, we have completed this task to make this convenient temperature assistant easy to use. We have placed it on an adapter board with the required supporting circuits and connectors, making it easy to use. Now, we have added a STEMMA QT JST SH connector compatible with SparkFun Qwiic, allowing you to use it without welding. Simply use the STEMA QT adapter cable and plug it into your favorite micro or Blinka supported SBC, and you can start rock.
